I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the Book would not be destroyed as I had planned. It continued falling into that starry expanse, of which I had only a fleeting glimpse. I have tried to speculate where it might have landed, but I must admit that such conjecture is futile. Still, questions about whose hands might one day hold my Myst book are unsettling to me. I know my apprehensions might never be allayed, and so I close, realizing that perhaps the ending has not yet been written. -- Atrus

Obduction Walkthrough Guide Preview

In TEN days I'll be releasing the Obduction Walkthrough Guide for $35.99.  I'll put the link on here, so make sure to come back February 15!

It was SO COOL to work with the folks at Cyan--actually it was pretty unreal to work with the folks at Cyan.  So, to whet your appetite, I'm putting some preview images here for you to drool over:

Front Cover!
It will include detailed maps of Hunrath, Kaptar, and Maray

the book is separated into "Parts"; each world gets its own part.

There are 14 full-page color images

There are also 5 two-page spreads. How could I resist including one of the Crankshaft Cavern?

I have some diagrams that help to solve the Gauntlet puzzle. A game of geometry, surprisingly simple.

Throughout the book, you will find "Boxes" (color-coded for each world) that contain tangential information or reproductions of documents from the game. Here's one of the "Bad Endings"

I also include some backstory information, because the game can be somewhat confusing the first time you play. Look at that adorbs Mofang!

One of two Appendices: this is a very detailed tutorial for figuring out the Villein number system.  Again, surprisingly simple, but remember when it seemed super hard with the original beta release when you couldn't return to Hunrath? How weird that they changed that in later updates.
